VRF V6 Heat pump
Midea VRF V6 heat pump series has the world’s largest single-unit capacity. The range available from 8HP to 32HP.
Wide Application Range
Wide Capacity Range
Starting from 8HP to 32HP, the VRF V6 Heat Pump Series is the world’s largest single VRF unit capacity.
Wide Operation Range
The VRF V6 can operate with stability within a wide ambient temperature range. From -5°C to 48°C in cooling mode and from -23°C to 24°C in heating mode.
Long Piping Capability
Total piping length: 1000 m
Longest piping length - actual (equivalent): 175 m (200 m)
Longest piping length after the first branch: 40/90* m
Level differences between IDUs and ODU - ODU above (below): 90 m (110 m)
Level difference between IDUs: 30 m
High Reliability
Precise Oil Control Technology
The 4-step oil control technology ensures that all outdoor compressor oil is always kept at a safe level, eliminating any compressor oil shortages.
Compressor internal oil separation.
Highly efficient centrifugal oil operator ensures that oil is separated from the discharge gas and returned to the compressors swiftly.
Oil balance pipes between the compressors ensure even oil distribution to keep compressors running normally.
Automatic oil return program monitors the running time and system status to ensure reliable and efficient oil return.
Back-Up Operation
In the units with two compressors, if one fails, the other compressor can run on its own for up to 4 days, giving enough time for maintenance or repair when convenient.
Refrigerant Cooling PCB
The VRF V6 uses refrigerant cooling technology to cool the electric control box. This decreases the average temperature of the electrical control box by around 8°C to guarantee that makes sure that the control system runs smoothly.
Real-Time Refrigerant Monitoring
The temperature and pressure of the refrigerant can be monitored in real-time by the outdoor unit. When the level of refrigerant is too high or too low it can cause significant damage and inefficient performance. The VRF V6 outdoor unit can detect insufficient or excessive amounts of refrigerant in advance of any issues.
Anit-Corrosion Protection
Standard outdoor units are given anti-corrosion treatment for non-extreme conditions. These can also be customised with more heavy anti-corrosion treatment on the main components for surface protection from corrosive air, acid rain and saline air to extend the unit’s overall usage life. The anti-corrosion treatment has been subjected to testing under a variety of conditions. Please contact for information for anti-corrosion treatment for specific components and parts.
Non-Polarising Communication Wiring
Only one chain of 2-core non-polarised shielding communication wiring required for the indoor and outdoor unit. However, where relatively strong electromagnetic fields are present, 3-core shielding wiring should be used to prevent interference.
Auto Addressing
Outdoor units can distribute addresses to indoor units automatically. Remote and wired controllers can be used to query or modify each indoor units address.
Automatic Refrigerant Charging/Recycling Function Available*
Automatic refrigerant charging and recycling make installation and servicing easier and more efficient.
*This function is available and a customizable option.
Multifunctional PCB
An optional multifunction small PCB can be installed on the unit’s side columns enabling installation and service engineers to activate Auto-commissioning or check the operational status without removing the front panel. This option can also perform automatic data back-up for the last 30 minutes’ operating record.
Comfort Enhancement
Night Silent Mode
The night silent mode feature, which is easily configured on the outdoor unit’s PCB, includes various scheduling enhancements that can be used to reduce noise levels.
Enhanced Heating Capacity
Heating capacity is at 100% at ambient temperature for as low as -5°C and at 90% of rated capacity at 15°C.
Smart Defrosting Technology
The defrosting program calculates the time required for defrosting according to the actual system status, eliminating heat loss from uncontrolled and excessive defrosting. A specialised defrosting valve reduces the time required for defrosting down to as little as four minutes.
